BLACK VELVET, DIAMONDS AND A DASH OF VINTAGE

This used to be a large slouch hat with weird-looking leather flowers that I found on a vintage market in Chicago.

Now it's a small pillbox-like hat without weird-looking flowers, but with a bow instead and some sparkling rhinestones...

WHAT A WEEKEND !

I started experimenting with velvet fabrics. I love the shape of this hat, it looks like lilac whipped cream....I'll put some vintage flowers on this one and I'll also make some in black. Very 40ies...

The colour of this velvet ribbon is called " Black Coffee". It's a lovely shade of black.

Here I used some really old vintage flowers. My mother said, it looks boring, but I consider it quite romantic.....

Well, I made the hats on Friday night. On Saturday I was taking care of my friend Olinka's puppy. Poor Woody. He had to hide all his toys and his food , and then he was permanently sexually molested by this tiny nasty guy.

But in the end......happy end. We were all very exhausted.
