Last week I got my first dark blue dress ever. It's perfect, an every-day/anyoccasion dress, designed by my dear friend Claudia for her label LIS.

Last week I made a goldfish-hat for my dearest customer, Enie van de Meiklokjes.

She wore it at the launch party of her first book, which is about aquariums and fish. She really knows a lot about that topic and she has the most beautiful aquariums at her lovely home.

Two days ago I dyed my hair a little more fiery red than usual and after that I felt the instant need to get a new blush, matching lipstick and nail polish. Since Mad Men I am completely obsessed with finding that fancy 60s style pinkish coral red colour. And I found it !!!

The lipstick is from Yves Saint Laurent, N. 27 - I use it as a blush, too.

The nail polish, which comes out much better than the lipstick on these pictures, in reality they make a perfect match, is from OPI, colour : Red my fortune cookie

Well, actually, this is not a very good make-up post, since the colours look totally different on each picture, so please forgive me....

Oh, my goodness ! I have the best best-friend in the world.

A couple of days ago I showed Mareike some things on my asos.com wishlist, amongst them the perfect pair of shoes, the rubber crocodile pumps by vivienne westwood for melissa shoes.

And what happened a few days later ???? The postman brought me a package and when I opened it I nearly cried.....Mareike got them for me, just like that. For no reason, no birthday, no name day, nothing.....

....and wheeee, they smell like strawberry cheesecake !

That's a new summer dress from my friend Claudia designed for her label Lis, at Holly. I think it's so so pretty.

The cotton is so soft and light, and I like the waterfall cleavages on the front and on the back.

A vintage fox terrier lamp from the 1950s, in the men's section at Holly's. It has a little hole on top so that you can put scented oil in it, which is fabulous. I am thinking about stealing it for quite some time now.

I really love this picture, because there's another sweet customer and dear friend on the right, blowing love bubbles and wearing a hat from my collection. Isn't she cute ?

For this headpiece I used vintage leaves, and silk from the dress to make the roses.

I started making a small collection of mini-hats with black velvet and bright pink details yesterday.

I called it "Midnight in Paris", inspired by the title of Woody Allen's new movie.
(He's my hero, I just love him so much.... )
Thinking of a night in Paris, full of romance and the smell of sweet perfume, I used black velvet ( a black velvet sky with sparkling stars ) and lovely bright flowers....

With a heavy heart I say "Goodbye, farewell " to these gorgeous vintage dresses that I got on etsy very recently. I really love you, but you just don't fit.....

I am way too tall for them, and it looks ridiculous if you wear your waist right underneath your bust.....

So I thought I'd give you a chance to buy them for yourselves right here, right now, before I put them back on Etsy.

I think it's a size medium. It's more suitable for the petite ladies amongst us.

Oh my, and this is such a pizzazz dress and it looks so much better in person. The lace "blouse" is such a lovely detail....

I got the same problem with this dress, the waist is much too high.

This 70s secretary dress is in a sheer turquoise with cream lace insert and cuffs. Little creamy pearl buttons adorn the front of the lace blouse. The double collar has a ruffled lace accent. Elastic waist with sash tie. In excellent condition, will best fit a medium frame.

This is a magnificent exemplar of the wonderful flamingo flower ,which I picked off a tremendous flamingo bush 7 years ago in the deep green rainforest, on the banks of the Amazon.
It only blooms once every 25 years, ain't that magic ?
I had been keeping it in my fridge since then and today I decided that now is the time to put it on a hat and let it spread its magic.....

KAUFRAUSCH ( Shopping Frenzy ) - that's the name of a fantastic little department store in Hamburg, with the biggest selection of hair and head accessories that I have ever seen...

The store is divided into different sections : fashion, bags and leather goods, jewelry, home accessories, hats and hair decorations and a tiny sweet café at the entrance, it really is the cutest little place, very chic. See some pictures of the store in this post.

What I like about them the most is that they also sell some of MY designs. The hats that I make for them are a little more classic and "decent" than my usual headpieces.

So, next time you're in Hamburg make sure to stop by, you won't regret it !!
